I was on "wait, don't say yet" status for two months! <br /><br />The reason Joyce Fetteroll and I are going to Australia is that Schuyler Waynforth's family is moving near Brisbane this May. <br /><br />My hope with the local Albuquerque ALL Unschooling Symposium was to bring Schuyler and David and their kids to Albuquerque to speak. Schuyler and David met here, in the Anthropology department of the University of New Mexico, and I met them when their children were very little, and have stayed with them in England (as has Joyce). <br /><br />Twice I've spoken at conferences where Schuyler also spoke, and am anxious to do so again. So in the fall of 2013, there will be two or three presentations of the Always Learning Live Unschooling Symposium. Joyce and I will be at all of them, and maybe, I hope, Schuyler can be too. Perhaps Dr. David Waynforth will be able to speak in Brisbane, too, as he has been studying some of the things we talk about and can present scientific evidence about some things involving food and attachment parenting. I think of it every day. Joyce said she would like to go too, and so that cinched that.<br /><br />If we're going to India, we might as well go to Australia, we thought, and so I've been inquiring about what people would like to hear, talk about, where we might stay and so forth, and this blog is begun VERY early so that unschoolers in those areas can subscribe and get news as it develops.<br /><br />Eventually the blog will have detailed schedules and then reports and photos, and then follow-up, and then it will sit as a historical record.
